Karađorđev Park is an authentically historic site of the camp of the main rebellion of the army and the military graveyard of the liberators of Belgrade under Karadjordje in 1806. The monument that was built in this cemetery by Prince Aleksandar Karadjordjevic in 1848, the first monument in Belgrade was erected in honor of one historical event, and at the same time the first public monument.
The site of the cemetery park and monument is the only place with preserved authentic material remains that document the stay of the rebel army in Belgrade and evoke a memory of the conquest of Belgrade in 1806. The last remains of the ritual cemetery, which were located on a large part of the park, are twelve gravestone monuments on the graves of ustanika, set in the arena in the arrangement of the park. These monuments with stylized crosses and zigzag lines are similar to rural tombstones in the Belgrade area of that period. The monument from 1848 is modest in shape and decoration. The height is 547 cm. It is made of yellowish stone and covered with artificial stone. On the marble slabs on the side is the text of the consecration and the text on the restoration of the monument in 1889.
