Kula Nebojsa is one of the most famous towers in the Belgrade Fortress. It is located in the Lower town at the entrance to the former Danube harbor. During her Turkish rule, the Greek revolutionary Riga from Fera was executed. The tower was named after the negation of the verb to be afraid, which would mean that the tower is not afraid of any enemy and that it is unconquerable.
Such naming of towers can also be found in other Slovene nations, for example, in Slovak fortresses. Often it is incorrectly called "Nebojsa's Tower" due to insufficient knowledge of history and easier memory of the name (due to the nature of the language "Nebojsa's Tower" sounds more correct, although it is completely different).
